Simone J. Ambrosino Order Sons of Italy in America collection, 1956-1986.

The Simone J. Ambrosino Order Sons of Italy in America Collection (1956-1986) consists of membership lists, correspondence, constitution and by-laws, information on charities and other activities, and materials pertaining to individual lodges. Included are Supreme Convention books and correspondence (1977-1986), copies of the OSIA Constitution and general laws, President Jimmy Carter's resolution declaring June 22, 1980 as National Italian-American Day in honor of OSIA's 75th Anniversary. Materials on fund raising efforts and charities include projects of the Supreme Lodge including the National Fund-Raising Drive in 1976, the "5000 Club," (1980), and relief for victims of the Italian earthquake (1980). Materials relating to the Delaware Grand Lodge include Delaware Grand Conventions (1979-1981), Grand Lodge corresondence, by-laws, officer lists, Scholarship Ball and Columbus Day activities, articles of incorporation, and "Avanti," the newsletter of Caesar Rodney Lodge No. 2359. Also included are newspaper clippings and photographs.
